Diet Supplements or Not????
Does anyone use anytime of Diet supplements? And if so, what kind? I mean like appetite suppressants. Sometimes it just feels like I need a little extra help on some days. I feel so ravenous. So I thought I would ask for your opinions. So what do you think?
I think the majority of your fellow buddyslimmers are going to say no to diet pills. Most of us are doing it the natural way with diet and exercise. If you are hungry, my suggestion is to take a look at your diet. Are you eating several small meals regularly through out the day? Do you have healthy snacks to munch on in case you feel hungry? and Are you eating filling foods high in protein? Those are just some things I’ve learned along the way. Even on a diet, you should never feel hungry. I hope this helps!
NO, NO, NO - But well done for asking when it was on your mind.
Don’t do it - not only are they incredibly bad for you and really bad for your heart (which is just asking for trouble if you’re overweight anyway) they dont do anything to make you learn new habits.
I took Ephedrine 2 winters ago - I lost 21 lbs stone in 30 days after Christmas. I stopped taking it and started to eat again - I put that 21lbs back on and another 5 within 1 month.
Please dont do it - you will not benefit at all. Theres only one way to lose weight and thats steadily.
If you’re ravenous eat more foods with high water content and lots of dietary fibre - eg leafy vegetables - make a stir fry of lots veggies - they are very filling and hardly any calories
Sorry - was I a bit fierce - its all said in spirit of love

I will admit to having tried them, and what usually happened, besides dry mouth and racing heartbeat, is that any day I didn’t take them, I was ravenously hungry, more than I’d ever been before. So I swore them off.
Dealing with hunger is hard; you can’t just ignore it! I try to find a very low calorie snack that I can keep around. I also eat my biggest meal at breakfast and taper off to a small dinner, and I have a small snack (like a baggie of grapes, or apple slices with a little bit of peanut butter) maybe 2 hours after breakfast, so I never really go that long without eating something.
well I am going to tell you that they are bad bad bad. Even the so called herbal ones are not good for ya.
if you are hungry like previous posters said make sure you eat small meals and more often. Drink lots of water. Lot of times you are not hungry but thirsty.
How many calories are you eating? Try to up them some. Make sure you have tons of protein which is very filling..
But those pills are not the answer…
Just my opinion
Hey if you’re hungry all the time.. here’s a few tips. Because I was like you for a while, and I could have eaten myself out of house and home.
1. If you’re on birth control, talk to your doctor. It could be affecting your appetite making you feel hungry all the time. i felt like that when I was taking Dianette. it drove me to distraction. Now I take Microlite, and I dont feel as hungry anymore.
2. Eat more fibre. It swells in your stomach and keeps you fuller for longer.
3. If you increase your fibre, then also increase your water intake. When you increase fibre you can get a bit constipated. Drinking water helps with this.
4. Drink more water anyway. Sometimes hunger can be mixed up with thirst.
5. If you’re craving a specific food like pasta, chocolate, pizza, cake etc.. then that’s “emotional hunger”. But if you’re just hungry and even eating sawdust would make you feel better (!!!!) then that’s proper hunger. For emotional hunger it’s best to get some water or go for a walk.
I think that’s all the tips I can think of right now. Hope it helps a bit.
They don’t work.
It’s all in your head. Control your mind.
Hang in there!
Walk away from the diet supplements and scams!
Reasons:
1. They are not good for your body, even if they say all natural. Have you heard of the hydroxycut thing? They can damage your body
2. If you take them and lose weight, once you quit them you are going to regain the weight back.
Thus waste of money and unhealthy for your body…
How much and what are you eating? I count calories and use Sparkpeople.com (it is free) to tell me how many calories I need based on my age, activity/exercise level and weight. It is a range, like 1500-1800. Some days you do not exercise and might feel like eating closer to 1500. Other days you might feel more hungry, or end up eating out and you might need to eat in the higher range.
Also like the posts above said, eat small frequent meals throughout the day. Protein and fiber help fill you up and keep you feeling full, so don’t forget them! And drinking water helps too, as does eating slowly. Sometimes we think we are hungry when we are thirsty. I don’t do this, but some people stop and drink a cup of water when they are hungry and wait…10 or 20 minutes. Then if they are still hungry, they eat. If not they realize they were just probably thirsty.
Hope this helps you out!
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are all money making schemes!! Keep your money and invest in good food and a gym membership.
If you’ve upped your work outs or started working out–hang in there. That first week or two–geeze, I get sooo freaking hungry. However, it should ease off after that…I guess the body reacts to working out. These guys gave ya some great tips that work so good luck!
